Foods That Cause Inflammation.

Foods that cause inflammation. When suffering from chronic pain and health conditions, there are certain food that should be avoided. Inflammation is a body’s natural response to illness, infection, or injury.
Foods to be avoided are those thought of as “junk food,” or processed foods. Examples are:
- Red or processed meats- Lean meat is a good course of iron and minerals, red and processed meat contain saturated fat which contributes to immune cells to produce proteins that are inflammatory into the bloodstream. Those include steak, hamburgers, bacon, hotdogs, sausage, and deli meat.
- Refined Carbohydrates- include white flour, white bread, cereal, pasta, rice.
- Sugar sweetened foods and drinks- sweets, desserts, candy, soft drinks, sports drinks.
- Processed foods- Packaged snacks, chips, cookies, margarine, nondairy creamers, microwaveable meals, flavored yogurt, refrigerated dough and biscuits.
- Fried foods- Fried chicken French fries, donuts.
- Sulfites- Preservatives found in red wine

- Olive oils
- Nuts- walnuts, almonds,
- Fruits- berries, açaí
- Vegetables
- Dark chocolate
- Onions and garlic
- Dark leafy greens
- Omega 3- fish
